Silver leaves earstuds with moissanite
Beautiful silver leaves earstuds with stunning moissanites.
A moissanite is a very specail gemstone, which was discovered by Henri Moissan. In nature a moissanite (silicium cabride) is found in meteorites. Nowadays moissanites are made in a lab, where they have perfected the process to produce pure silicium carbide. Because these stones are made in a lab, there are no ethical or environmental issues attached to these gems.
A moissanite is very hard to distinguish from a diamond. It shines and sparkles just as much as a diamond (even more so!) and is alsmost just as hard. A moissanite scores a 9,5 on Mohs scale, and a diamonds scores a 10. You can call it just as durable! Another advantage is that a moissanite is priced much more friendly than a diamond, so a very interesting alternative to a diamond!
All the moissanites we use, are made by the brand Charles and Colvard.
